Introduction
Less than
one mile from the Campeche Marina & Beach Resort, a smaller
and more Exclusive development is now available for a limited
number of qualified buyers. Santillana del Mar has fifteen front
line beachfront homesites, of which several remain available starting
at $125,000. Each of these homesites is around one-third acre
in size, and each has about 100 feet of beach frontage. Directly
behind the front line homesites are another fifteen homesites,
which are only another 60-70 yards away from the beach, starting
at $100,000 depending on size. Most are around one-third acre,
with a few closer to one-half acre. There are three pedestrian
trails leading out to the beach, so the owners of these homesites
are only a few steps from the beautiful white sand beaches. Please

Home designs from several leading regional architects
are now being developed for use in our beachfront section, each
one featuring Spanish-Mediterranean, local Yucatan or Tropical-Caribbean
styles, with deluxe features and quality. Steel reinforced concrete
block frames, terra cotta roof tiles, luxury Interceramic floors,
bathrooms and countertops will be included. Extra touches such
as marble floors, local Yucatan stone borders for windows and
doorways, or for exterior columns, can be added at a very reasonable
cost. Expert local craftsmen can create beautiful wrought iron
designs for balconies and doors, or interior stairways with tropical
hardwood banisters. Stained and cut glass window inserts are available
from leading Mexican artists in a wide variety of designs, and
can also be created from a drawing or photo. In fact, you can
also bring down your own design, or even a photo from a design
magazine, and we can take it from there and create a custom home
to fit your dreams.
Santillana del Mar and the Santillana Sea Ranch
will be enclosed, gated communities, with guarded entrances and
24 hour security throughout all areas. In the Sea Ranch section
there will be a Community Center for all residents with a snack
bar, recreational and fitness facilities, where you can also take
Spanish lessons, or sign up for excursions visiting the many historical
and cultural attractions of the region. In the center of the Sea
Ranch you will find the “Zocalo”, or Town Square,
modeled after the main square in the historic section of Campeche.
We will grant concessions to a couple of qualified restaurant
and café operators to provide services here, and there
will be a convenience store, internet access and plenty of trees
and benches to relax and socialize. Besides the Town Square, we
will have several other smaller parks at random locations throughout
the Sea Ranch, with shade trees and benches provided. On the community
beach, we will provide shade Palapas, showers, bathrooms, changing
facilities, and a snack bar, for the use of all community residents.
The Sea Ranch Estates will be an ideal place to
live for those who wish to be close to the beach, with access
to all beach and other community services, but with a little more
land, enough for a large swimming pool, a tennis court and some
lush tropical gardens. The homesites range from about one-half
to three-quarters of an acre in size, and are currently priced
from $75,000 depending on size and location. The quality of the
soil is excellent, as you will see from the variety of large hardwood
and tropical fruit trees scattered around the Sea Ranch. We have
abundant fresh water from two large wells, and we were recently
informed by the National Water Commission that the Sea Ranch sits
right over one of the largest fresh water tables in the area.
Behind the residential section of the Sea Ranch is a large Nature
Reserve, approximately 60 acres in size, with natural ponds and
streams, where you can follow our trails, or join our guide to
observe the local wildlife. All homes in the Sea Ranch Estates
will be just a few minutes walk from the beach, and we will also
have some golf carts circulating around to provide transportation
to the beach or to the Main Entrance Gate.
We expect that many Sea Ranch Estates homes
will follow some variation of the Yucatan Hacienda style, which
can be adapted to just about any size or floor plan. Other compatible
designs for this area are also being created by our architects.
